A Canadian Store Used Embarrassing Designs To Shame People Into Using Reusable Bags

A grocery store in Canada wants people to use less plastic bags, so they created a tactic that would influence people to bring reusable bags: public shame.

The store printed designs that said thing like “Into the weird Adult Video Emporium,” and “The Colon Care Co-Op.” On an Instagram post, the owner said,"It's hard to always remember a reusable bag. We redesigned our plastic bags to help you never forget again!"

Well, the plan backfired and people started going into the store specifically to buy the humorous bags at 5 cents each.

The store owner is now creating reusable bags with the same designs.
