Alachua County Animal Services is hosting a Harry Potter Adoption Event this Saturday from 10:30 to 5. There’s a Fantastic Beast waiting to join your family, plus all adoption fees will be waived.

"On Saturday, November 9th from 10:30am-5pm Animal Services will be magically transformed into Hogwarts Castle! Join us for our Harry Potter Adoption Event where we will have cats and dogs from all of the Houses of Hogwarts available for adoption. Come meet the animals from Gryffin’dog’, Raven’paw’, Huffle’fluff’ and ‘Slobb’erin.
We will have a contest to see which House has the most adoptions and wins the House Cup! Come and help your favorite House win! Adoption fees will be waived on all animals.
Feel free to dress up as your favorite Harry Potter character and join us for Harry Potter inspired treats, games and crafts.
Pet adopters must be 18 or older and show ID with proof of current address. If there are already pets in the home, the potential adopter must show proof that owned animals are current on rabies and license. All adoptable cats and dogs are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped prior to leaving Animal Services.
