Bioplastic Made From Bacteria Might Be The Future

The plastic we know now, might one day be replaced by bioplastic.

A company called Mango Materials in California is making plastic out of bacteria. They extract something called polymers, then knit it together to create a biodegradable plastic.

As of now, they've sent roughly 2,000 pounds to interested companies, mainly for textile work. Yes, the polyester is out clothes is made from plastic. Mango has a hurdle to jump when it comes to public opinion, however. Apparently, when people think biodegradable clothing, they believe it will fall apart while they're wearing it.
