If you love being on Facebook, but you’re wary of how they use your data, the social media site is a making a new tool available called “Off-Facebook Activity.”

When you go exploring on the internet, you collect "cookies." This is data that tracks where you've been. It's also used to target you with ads.

With this the new Off-Facebook Activity feature, you’ll be able to manage the data that Facebook has collected from third-party sites. You’ll even be able to cut them off from any third-party connections.

This does not erase the data a third-party app or website has on you though.
