Fugitive Says He Will Surrender If His Wanted Poster Gets 15K Likes On Facebook

Prison

Police in Connecticut have made a deal with a fugitive on the run with seven warrants for his arrest.

Jose Simms claimed that if his wanted poster on Facebook got 15,000 likes, he would turn himself in. Lt. Johnson of the City of Torrington Police Department actually managed to get the number down to 20,000. He told Simms, "It will be difficult but is doable."

The post has reached over 22,000 likes, and at the time of making this, the guy still hasn’t surrendered. Experts in police ethics are calling the situation unethical, and that the situation will be turned into a joke.
