The Game of Thrones series is finished on HBO, with many fans disappointed with the ending. For fans of the books, you’ll be glad to know that George R.R. Martin is making a lot of progress on the sixth book The Winds of Winter.
On his blog, Martin shared that isolating himself in a cabin out in the mountains has helped move things along. On the post, titled 'Writing, Reading, Writing,' Martin says, "I finished a new chapter yesterday, another one three days ago, another one the previous week. But no, this does not mean that the book will be finished tomorrow or published next week. It’s going to be a huge book, and I still have a long way to go."
A seventh book is planned after The Winds of Winter, so don’t get too impatient for the real ending.
