Right after rejecting one Game of Thrones prequel series, HBO has green lit another one.
The upcoming series is called House of the Dragon, inspired by George R.R. Martin’s Fire and Blood. The show will be about the origin of House Targaryen, with Martin serving as executive producer. Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik are on board as showrunners, with Sapochnik directing as well.
There is also a third prequel series, but we'll have to wait and see if it'll become anything.
House of the Dragon will air on HBO and HBO Max.
