All the way back in 1992, Chris McCandless headed out into the Alaskan wilderness, lived in a bus, and eventually died of starvation. His story inspired famous book Into the Wild. Well, the bus was still around, becoming a quote “perilous attraction.”
The allure of the bus had visitors trying to seek it out. Problem is, there's a river you have to cross to reach it, and Alaska isn't exactly known for it's accommodating wilderness. The state was having to rescue so many people trying to reach the vehicle, it had to be airlifted away.
