A Dairy Queen employee has been fired after mishearing a customer request, decorating a marijuana themed cake instead of the requested Disney’s Moana theme.
The customer was made aware of the mistake, but actually paid for the cake and left.
An image of the cake went viral, bringing national attention to the fired employee, who was offered her job back, but refused. In an interview with USA Today, she said, "This is back-to-school time. I have two little girls here. I have a car that needs fixing. It’s not funny to me."
