McDonald’s is acquiring Apprente, an AI voice assistant meant to speed up their drive-thru.
Earlier in the year, the company also bought Dynamic Yield, a decision engine that customizes the menu based on the specific customer. With these two acquisitions working together, McDonald’s is hoping for a smoother, more accurate drive-thru experience.
Apprente is fully owned by McDonald's, so if the other fast food chains want a similar system, they'll have to shop around.
