Nintendo Switch Lite: A Cheaper, Lighter Console Coming Soon

Switch

Nintendo has announced the Switch Lite, a cheaper version of the current Switch.

Here's what you can expect out of the new console:

  • Comes in Yellow, Gray, and Turquoise
  • No Kickstand
  • Built in controllers (no Joy-Cons)
  • No HDMI port
  • No dock
  • 5.5" screen (Regular Switch is 6.2")
  • Weighs .61 lb (Original is .88 lb)
  • Battery life of 3 - 7 hours
  • Supports all games that support handheld mode, though, some will have restrictions

As you can probably tell, the Switch Lite is made for handheld gaming and portability.

The new console releases on September 20th, with a price point of $199.99. Pre-orders will begin soon, and you might even be able to snag a Pokemon special edition.
