Researchers have come together to bust the myth that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
This misconception was actually promoted by companies like Kellogg and Quaker Oats. Some studies regarding the health benefits of eating breakfast were actually funded by companies trying to sell you products. In one case, Quaker actually designed the study and edited the manuscript.
Eating breakfast has in some cases actually led to weight gain, and it’s not surprising considering that many foods promoted as breakfast items are more like desserts. Pancakes, I’m looking at you...and waffles, and danishes...and Pop Tarts...and most cereal.
