A team of scientist from a university in Sweden have figured out how to bottle, store, and transport solar energy.
They developed a special liquid capable of storing sunlight’s energy, then pass that liquid through a cobalt based material that releases the energy as heat. Their method of storing, and then releasing solar energy is called the MOST System; the Molecular Solar Thermal Storage system.
The bottled sunshine expires after 18 years.
